Quick facts

Getting there and getting around

The bridge connects Erekle II Street with Rike Park, so you choose your approach by where you start. Metro, taxi and walking all reach one of the two banks.

  • Old Town side: approach via Erekle II Street.
  • Left bank side: approach via Rike Park.
  • Full route detail is on the transport and metro pages.

Time, cost and access

There is no fixed visit duration and no published admission tariff for crossing. Any cost you see relates to separate services such as the cable car or boat trips. Access conditions on each approach should be checked on the day.

This is an independent guide. It does not set prices or hours and cannot confirm them for a specific date.

Night visits

The bridge is known for its lighting, associated with the French designer Philippe Martinaud. Lighting times and any programmes change, and public sources describe them inconsistently, so do not treat them as fixed.

  • Check the lighting for the day rather than a fixed schedule.
  • Plan a clear return route after dark.
  • See the night page for viewing details.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers for planning.

01Is the Bridge of Peace free?+

There is no published admission tariff for crossing; it is a public pedestrian route. Paid services nearby, such as the aerial tramway and boat trips, are separate.

02How long does a visit take?+

There is no fixed duration. A simple crossing is short, and most people add time for photos and the two banks. Plan the length from your wider route.

03Is it safe to visit at night?+

The bridge is well lit and popular in the evening, but conditions vary. Take the same care you would anywhere at night, and plan your return route before you set out.
